Governance Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Governance Committee helps CHWC build and guide its board of directors. The Governance Committee makes decisions about board member training, culture, and the details of how the board governs the organization. This committee also considers and suggests potential new board members as the CHWC board nominating committee. This committee meets quarterly and as needed.
Finance Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Finance Committee helps CHWC make sound financial decisions. This includes regularly reviewing CHWC’s budget, financial plans, and financial reporting practices to ensure CHWC is in good financial standing. This committee also helps create and update policies to ensure CHWC is fulfilling all our legal, ethical, and financial responsibilities. This committee meets monthly.
Resource Development and Marketing Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Resource Development and Marketing Committee builds community support for our work. This committee supports our fundraising staff, plans events, and tells CHWC’s story in the community. This committee meets bimonthly and as-needed.
Neighborhood Engagement Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Neighborhood Engagement Committee oversees and supports CHWC’s Community Building & Engagement initiatives, which are a key component of CHWC’s strategy to build strong neighborhoods. Committee members help CHWC identify new potential partnerships, assist with outreach relating to existing programs, and inform or guide new programs. This committee meets monthly.
Community Lending Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Community Lending Committee helps CHWC build and maintain an effective, equitable Lending Program. It serves as the oversight and loan committee for CHWC’s Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) lending programs. Members support the creation of policies and help develop, assess, and monitor program operations. This committee meets monthly.
Project Development Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Project Development Committee oversees and supports CHWC’s Housing and Economic Development programs, including Real Estate Development, Construction Management, and Asset and Property Management functions. Committee members can share their experiences and knowledge to provide insights into upcoming projects. The project development committee helps inform the development of new programs and developments that align with what our community would benefit from. This committee meets monthly.
Homeownership Committee Moderator
Committee Description
The Homeownership Committee supports CHWC’s Homeownership Promotion & Preservation Programs, including one-on-one counseling, group education, and purchase assistance.
This committee helps inform customer engagement and education. By providing feedback on potential programs, services, and other ways we can support our neighbors, the Homeownership committee plays an important role in shaping the homeownership services that CHWC offers.
